Open the Book

Open the Book offers primary school children an opportunity to hear key bible stories presented by a team of Christians from local churches. Members from Sowerby Methodist Church and St Oswald's Sowerby visit four local schools twice a term. Each presentation takes around 10-15 mins. and includes a "thinking time" and prayers.

Visits to local schools began again in October 2021 with the stories of Jonah, and Daniel and continue to the present date February 2024.
